Acquitted started recording the first EP in December 2002. The EP ‘Secure’ was launched at a concert in Falkirk Baptist Church, on the 17th May 2003, which was a huge success. The band has played at various venues across Scotland including a gig at Edinburgh Festival 2003, The Martell in Falkirk – playing in the ‘Battle of the Bands’ final, The 13th Note in Glasgow, Westport Bar Dundee, ‘Waken the Dead’ festival in Livingston and Sound Central Festival in Stirling, to name a few. In addition to this Acquitted featured on BBC Radio Gaelic on the ‘Rapal’ show.

The aim of the band is to break the misconceptions of Christian music today. The songs are about the band members’ past and present experiences in life relating to their own faith.
