SSV were formed in March 2002 by Rick Munn and then drummer Rab
Willis, with the aim of playing and recording extreme Christian metal as an alternative to the secular bands of the same genre currently around. The line up was completed by October 2002 with the addition of Pete and Shem, and SSV started writing and rehearsing in earnest with the goal of releasing an EP by the middle of 2002. This was accomplished in June 2002, with the release of the "Embers" EP, a 5 track CD of extreme Christian metal which has been well received by anyone who has heard it (so far!). In August 2003, our drummer left the band due to other personal commitments, just as the band were on the verge of playing their first live show.

However, rather than let this set them back, the remaining band members started writing more new material and are currently employing the services of a drum machine to devastating effect, until a new drummer is found. The first live shows are scheduled for November 2003, with more gigs to follow by the end of the year. SSV plan to gig extensively throughout 2004 and release their 2nd EP sometime next year.
